Meet Our Team
Instructor & Community Manager
Julie is a powerhouse. She teaches up to 8 classes a week, acts as our Community Manager, runs an after school day care and volunteers with her boys’ school and sport activities. Generous, passionate and strong are three words that come to mind when we see Julie’s smiling face motivating us in CrossBell, HIIT, Weekend Warrior or Elevate With Weights …and she’s recovering from knee surgery! ‘Nuf said – go get into one of her classes!
Shannon is a creative, genuine, and hilarious woman. She brings these qualities with total authenticity to the classes she teaches: Fitness Mixer and Elevate with Weights. This mum of two boys juggles her day job as a VP of Design & Development for a condo construction firm with teaching CareerFit Mom classes. Relatable, motivating, and always fun – you’ll enjoy how Shannon facilitates your rocking workout.
Shauna is a strong, compassionate woman. She is a mum to three kids and works for the government. She also is Spin certified and an avid runner. We love her sense of humour and genuine care for others. She’s been teaching Weekend Warrior for the last few years. Our participants work so hard with her coaching. Shauna is a motivating start to your Saturday morning!
Heather is not only an Instructor on our team, she’s a CareerFit Mom success story! Heather was a client first – she attended Mom & Baby classes while she was on mat leave and moved into evening classes as she regained her strength. Attending a “Career Transitions for Moms” workshop, Heather identified that she wanted to work flexible hours to have more time with her son, instead of returning to her job with a major retailer. She decided to pursue her canfitpro Fitness Instructor Specialist certification and is now teaching some of our “kid-friendly” classes. Experience how Heather facilitates workouts in her ever-friendly, always positive way!
Welcome to Nadine, our new Yoga Instructor. Watch for her full bio coming soon!
A few years ago Teresa attended a meditation retreat and found the experience to be transformative! After that, she created a program for the CareerFit Mom community and her “Strengthen, Lengthen & Chill” class was born. This class includes a blend of flowing muscle conditioning sequences, stretching and meditation. Her class has been described as a “life saver for mental and emotional health” by participants. She also teaches Tabata, Outdoor GroupFit, Mud Mama Obstacle Training and more. Check out Teresa’s classes and reap the rewards of her multi-talented teaching abilities….
Agnes brings both high intensity and mind/body fitness into her classes. She has quite a following at her Tabata classes. Her participants love how she makes them feel – from the challenge of her drills to her special meditation bowl during the cool down. Get to know Agnes and you’ll learn she’s very strong. She’s been through a lot and she’s very open about it, knowing that sharing her experiences with others might help someone else through health issues, grieving… Agnes we love you and your amazing spirit!!
Strength in mind, body, and spirt. Marta and I met in a coffee shop on the Danforth when she was a mom to a big baby boy and an active pre-schooler. An ex-Rugby player/coach, she wanted to build her strength again to be engaged as an active parent. She joined my Stroller GroupFit class at East Lynn Park. From there she became certified by going through my canfitpro course and I quickly hired her to teach group fitness classes. Marta is well-loved by her participants for how hard she makes them work. She is the Sunday morning sunshine when she teaches Sculpt & Sizzle at 8:15 am. She’s a Bellies Inc. Core Specialist and went through her own rehabilitation using the Bellies Inc. program after having her twins in 2016. Trust Marta to challenge you at your own level – you’ll be in good hands with effective, safe, and motivating programming.
Meet Amy – mom of 2 young girls, Health Promotion professional, friend to many. She took my canfitpro Fitness Instructor Specialist course while pregnant with her 2nd baby. I knew then that she’d make a wonderful addition to our team. Amy teaches our Mom & Baby fitness classes. She is a welcoming host to an engaging, safe, and effective workout experience. Her positive energy and relatable sense of humour makes for a super fun class. Amy understands what it’s like to juggle a career, kids, and self-care time. She knows we’re all just doing the best we can and learning as we go!
Helen has successfully recreated her career a few times, most recently as a certified canfitpro Fitness Instructor Specialist. As a devoted CareerFit Mom client for many years, we’d been after Helen to take the FIS certification. Now she shares her fitness passion and knowledge with our community as an Instructor! With experience in HIIT, boot camp, and weight lifting Helen is teaching Elevate with Weights and Sculpt & Sizzle Circuit. You’ll love Helen’s contagious enthusiasm, helpful coaching and uplifting spirit!
“Beth is absolutely positive energy. She is an inspiration as a mother as well as a woman who is doing what she believes in and is passionate about. She does so much for others.”Erin
